Test build
Install CompLive for testing
This is the unpacked build. It installs straight into Chrome — no Web Store account, no developer verification, no waiting for review. It runs for as long as you keep the folder on your machine.
complive-extension.zip
Load it into Chrome
- 1
Unzip the download into a folder you'll keep — for example Desktop/complive. Chrome reads the folder live, so don't delete it after installing.
- 2
Open a new tab and go to chrome://extensions
- 3
Turn on Developer mode with the toggle in the top-right corner.
- 4
Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder (the one containing manifest.json).
- 5
CompLive appears in your extension list. Click the puzzle-piece icon in the toolbar and pin it.
- 6
Open the CompLive popup and sign in with your account so Pro and trial limits apply.
- 7
Open a Whatnot, eBay Live, or TikTok Live stream — the overlay appears bottom-right.
Works in any Chromium browser — Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera.
When a new build ships
Download again from this page, replace the contents of your existing folder, then open chrome://extensions and click the reload arrow on the CompLive card. Refresh any open stream tab afterwards. The version and date above always match the file you're downloading.
Troubleshooting
- The overlay doesn't appear on a stream
- Refresh the stream tab after installing — content scripts only inject on a fresh page load. If it still doesn't show, confirm the URL is on whatnot.com, ebay.com/lv, or tiktok.com.
- The item title isn't detected
- Click Scan card on screen in the CompLive popup. It reads the live video frame directly. Hold the card still and fully visible while it scans.
- I'm signed in but still see the Free limit
- Plans are decided on our server, not in the extension. Open the popup, sign out and back in to refresh the session, then rescan.
- Nothing loads and the popup shows an error
- On chrome://extensions, click 'service worker' on the CompLive card to open its console — errors there tell us exactly what failed.
