Terms of Service

1. Who you are contracting with

The CompGenies extension, website and collection tracker are provided by Complive, trading as CompGenies ("we", "us"). When you use the service you are entering into an agreement with Complive.

2. Acceptance

By installing the CompGenies extension or using the CompGenies website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be of legal age to enter a contract, and if you accept on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to bind it.

3. What the service is

CompGenies provides estimated sold-price information for items based on public marketplace listings, plus a collection tracker for cards you own. It is an informational tool. It is not a valuation service, an appraisal, financial advice, or a guarantee of resale value.

4. No guarantee of accuracy

Comp data depends on the item detected and the listings available. Condition, authenticity, grading, completeness and timing all affect real value and are not fully captured by an automated match, including matches produced by AI image recognition. You are solely responsible for every bid and purchase you make.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the service unlawfully or fraudulently, send spam, infringe anyone's intellectual property, or interfere with our security (malware, probing, scraping, circumventing plan limits).

Do not scrape, resell or redistribute CompGenies data, reverse engineer the service, or use it to automate bidding. Do not use the service in a way that violates the terms of Whatnot, eBay, TikTok or any other platform.

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in email secure and for activity under your account.

6. Intellectual property and licence

Complive owns and retains all rights in the service, including the extension, website, software, models, documentation, design and the CompGenies name and branding. Nothing in these terms transfers that ownership to you.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own purposes within the plan you have selected, for as long as your account is in good standing.

You keep ownership of the card photos and notes you upload, and grant us a limited licence to host and process them solely to provide the service to you.

7. Plans, billing and Merchant of Record

The free plan includes a limited number of scans per day. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel anytime; access continues to the end of the paid period.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

8. No affiliation

CompGenies is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Whatnot, eBay, or TikTok. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

9. Availability and warranties

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Data sources, platform layouts and third-party APIs can change without notice and may temporarily affect detection or comps.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Complive is not liable for any purchase decision, lost profit, overpayment, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding twelve months. Nothing limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You may stop using the service at any time by cancelling and uninstalling the extension. On termination you can request an export of your collection data for 30 days before it is deleted.

12. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Complive is established, and the courts there have jurisdiction.

We may update these terms. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
